Hacked Profile Names

I was wondering if there is any way to hack your profile name and add symbols and stuff like that can some tell me if this is possible and if so can you give me a link to the program I need

I thought we were all here for ONE common reason? Halo !! we're supposed to help eachother out and LEARN from eachother. I come on here and try to help out people when they have problems. What i KNOW about is modding xbox's so thats what i try to help people on. Guess some people are greedy and like to keep things for themselves.

I dont know how to do this because i havent tried. but a quick glance at some files and i think i may have something.

open you halo2 game save folder from your e drive. it should be the folder named 4d530064. inside you should see some files. there is one called profile. open it with notepad/wordpad and it should say your current profile name. try changing it here. IF that doesnt work, open the file called SaveMeta.xbx. it should say something like Name=Profile: [T2]Rufus. Try changing that as well. IF that doesnt work, then i dunno. ill try to figure it out later cuz im at work right now. I had to go to xbox-saves.com and download a gamesave just to be able to look at the files. Let me know if it worked for you guys.

EDIT: AND here you go Carnage...re-size your sig free online..

nevermind I figured it out I had to resign the profile with xsavsig after I edited it

Carnage, hope u dont ming posting here exactly how you did it. Maybe you can help out others that may have the same questions. Did you figure out how to put smiley faces?

yeah I can put smily faces and this is how I did it

First you will need this

Unzip that and remeber where you put it also take this

and paste it at the bottom of the resign.ini file

look though the folders and find one with a profile and SaveMeta.xbx your UDATA\4d530064 folder

FTP the profile to your computer then open it in hex workshop, you should see on the right the name of one of your profiles change what ever you want but I'm pretty sure that you cant make it any longer than the profile you are editting ( You might be able too I havent tried )

You do need to hex edit sorry if you read you could use notepad

Also when you are editting there are dots in between the letters thoses need to stay

When you are done with the editting save it then run Xsavsig
when this come up you will get this box thing just type in AGREE in the text box and you will get to the program

Dont bother clicking the drop down menu its mested up just click the 007 thing and hit arrow down untill you get to Halo 2 ( it goes alphebetiacaly )

then click the "..." thing then find the profile that you editted

some stuff will come up bellow just ckick apply then when thats done click OK then FTP the profile backinto the Folder where you took it from and you are good to go

Thanx for your tutorial Carnage. Glad to see you are willing to help others out. I KNEW that those two files had to have something to do with your profile name. QUESTION...What if you open up profile and savemeta.xbx with notepad and change the profile names as opposed to changing them in hex workshop? do u think this would work? And, what text do you have to enter to add a smiley face?

EDIT: i just saw your PM about how you couldn't edit it in notepad because it gives it a txt extention. I just opened it, and changed the profile then i went to File>Save and it just saved it the way it is. NO EXTENTION was given. You probably hit File>Save as.. and thats why it was giving it an extention. When you add a smiley face, and you open it with notepad? what does it put in place of the smiley?

To do Smily faces its basicly like the forum he : D is a smily but without the space : ( is a frowny but without the space again, thats the only smilys that I know that ive done

as for the notepad stuff, I just looked at it and I think you might be able to use it, ya your right and you dont need to open the SaveMeta.xbx at all just leave it alone

ok see. so only profile needs to be edited. the savemeta.xbx can stay the way it is? i guess it automaticly updates itself. you can also try

to get a wink. I'll try it when i get home. Thanks again carnage. BTW, if you edit with notepad, you dont need to re-sign it because i looked at the signature and it stays the same after you edit it. I think you only need to re-sign when you use a hex editor to change it.

ummm...that program does nothing. i entered text and hit change name and it didnt do anything.

If you read the discription for the program it is for Halo PC not Halo 2

and I take it back I don think you can use notepad I just tried 3 times editing with nottpad without signing and with I doesnt work so I think you do have to hex edit
