do i have to have photoshop

i don't have photoshop and i tried to download it, but it didn't work. wht other program could i use for skinning(i tried paintshop pro and it didn't work either)?

Umm, they are the main 2 programs, maybe you should download the trial from their website rather then downloading it from where you are.

You can use The GIMP, it has most of the features of Photoshop, is pretty similair to use and is completely free. You can get it here: http://gimp-win.sourceforge.net/stable.html, but don't forget to download and execute the GTK+2 program at the top of that page before installing The GIMP, or it won't work.

Thanks to Crowpath, i started using GIMP a bit with making seamless/tileable textures. It really is a great program.
