Avoid milkshape like the plague, and that is a horrible reference image. Get one with the stock extended, not folded across the side. http://world.guns.ru - best for finding images and different guns http://world.guns.ru/smg/smg16-e.htm - viola.
Anyways the first image is probably the best, although it is tilted a little bit, make sure you model it a little tilted to be more accurate.
Excalibur: id hunt him down and jerk him off
Excalibur: and drink the gallons of cum that come out
lol, but i mean how did you start it? i have no idea what im doing AT ALL how did you make it 3D and the different color and all the other stuff... any other TUT's you have that i could look at?
Well a lot of people do extrude modeling, they make a 2-D poly gon of the basic shape of the gun, then they extrude the shape into a 3-D object, then there is a lengthy process of getting everything smoothed and a lot of crap.
Still kinda scary, I'll post some of what it looks like soon. (Sorry for posting my stuff in your thread, but it might help you to see some of the things that have been produced after your tutorial
Umm, for making it a wieldable weapon you would need to understand animation and node editing, and then you would need to move the first person hands of the masterchief for that specific weapon after you textured/skinned it.
