help with 3ds max 7

ok every time i try to link the base to the frame and export it as a jms file it takes a minite then said a error oucored must close down and i need to export it so whats causing this and how can i fix this??????

Or you linked it wrong;
or your trying to link a group to the frame, DONT do that...
Or, you linked the frame to the model
