Making a box, then hitting tesselate 20 times, doesn't count, jks.

polies=triangles quads (more than 3 sides, or 3 vertices to this polygon)=darkstorm's interpretation of polies

1472 Polygons would be 3355 Triangles
The game counts Triangles when putting a gun in so something around 2000-3000 Triangles would be good amount

well i think thats what it means i get confused sometimes.

How would the poly count come up as different than the triangle count?

i breezed through the mm's of the shells but that, from what i recall, is 30 caliber (7.62) vs. 22 caliber (5.56).

definately a heavy version. like an m16 vs. an AK-47. size doesn't matter as much as stopping power. and don't draw stopping power from caliber. 22 caliber creates a wound that is acceptable in combat because the projectile, once entering a body, follows a curved path, rather than going straight through. the 30 caliber round, however, creates a wound straight through, with a larger exit wound. both will drop you easily.

anyways, gun nut bable blah blah blah. the gun looks great so far. i d/l part of your tut, but it says "Windows Media Player cannot play the file. One or more codecs required to play the file could not be found."

what codecs do i need??

Yea, but polies are triangles, not squares.

And just about any bullet will kill you if you hit them between the eyes, and slightly up, this is the magic kill spot. A tank shot does just as well as a bullet :P
