Online Multiplayer

Post by blairthumb »

When ever I try to create an online multiplayer game, no one else can join. My friend also created a game. I couldn't join his either. What am I doing wrong/what is wrong?

Are you guys trying to join by direct ip or just doing it normally?

Do you both have all of the updates?
What does it say when you try to join?

Um well i remember i had same prob.....do you have a router cause if so you need to config the router to let people in because the router lets a signal from you to go out but doesnt let signals from other people come in so basicly till you set it nobod can join you on any game.

Yea, make sure you're forwarding the proper ports through your router config and also make sure that the IP you are giving your friend is your PUBLIC IP address, not your Private/LAN IP.

yeh, if you give you freind the private IP that shows up when you are playing, he will not be able to join, because he is not wired directlyt to your network...

Simplest from: Set your router to Automatic DHCP w/e you can set to automatic. Then it will just forward server settings.
