Tool Error: Failed to create DINPUT

I've got a new tool error that I haven't seen before. It does it now even when I'm just typing tool to see the functionality and it places it before the 'can't read ./toolbeta.map'

Has anyone seen this before and know what its all about?

ooOOoo...never seen that!

Try tool++ by Kornman instead of the normal tool! Works like 10x, but a bit slower.

yeah its doing it all the time, even when I build structures of already working files.

I'll try the other app,

/EDIT: Actually Tool++ is doing the same crap. I take it that the shell is just running overtop of normal tool.exe. Some major junk is going on. I may have to try reinstalling HEK.

Well I fixed this problem the first time by reinstalling Halo CE and HEK, but has happened again. Tool still runs everything normally, but when I load Halo CE, it says could not create Direct Input.

Does anyone know how to fix this, I don't want to have to reinstall everything every two days. Thanks.
