Projectile Swapping in Guerilla
Projectile Swapping in Guerilla
Okay, I have done plenty of projectile swaps and stuff through HMT and HHT... How do I do so in Guerilla?
I opened the assault rifle.weapon file and changed the projectile tag to one from a different weapon, but it had no effect. Is there something else I need to change or compile?

You don't change it in already made maps, you compile new ones (ie. tutorial.map that comes in the HEK, or custom maps).
Once changed in Guerilla, compile the map, and the changes will be processed into it. You cannot compile already-made maps, because that would be stealing (besides tutorial which came with the HEK).

The compile tutorial that came with HEK? didn't really cover anything on customizing weapons. If there's a different one, I missed it...
I'm looking at the assault_rifle.weapon and there is not an option to add a projectile. Its a subsection of trigger... Do I need to add a whole new trigger just to change the projectile?

No problem!
If you are making a new skin or texture, don't overwrite the original .bitmap files for it. Just compile new ones with a different name, and edit the shader for that thing to point to your custom .bitmap also.
Try going to www.halowiki.com for some nice tutorials including level geometry, weapon/vehicle creation, and more!
