Level Export problem (TOOL)

Level Export problem (TOOL)
I used Gmax to export my level, and could only do it as a .p3d file. How can I change it to a .jms file. Please dont tell me you cant!!!!!!!!!!
Or tell me how I can get 3dsmax for free!

Thanks! I got chimp to work!!!
But, now when I try to do the structure thing with the JMS file, it works but it wont build the . senario file. Tool keeps telling me this:
Couldn't read map file './toolbeta.map'
building intermediate geometry...
building collision geometry...

Ok, surprise surprise, I had a problem with the next step. I tried to run radiosity, and all it does is all the numbers go to zero right away. What does that mean? Then when I save radiosity all it does is the whole land area changes white with lille black blurts all over it. Again, please try to help me!

It defines where the base actually is, and there is a calculation of where everything is in comparison to the frame, its complicated to explain but it is neccessary.
To link it all to the frame, you look at the top of your max window, and it looks like a chain, and if you place your mouse over it you should see "select and link", you simply get that, select the objects you want to link to the skybox, and just drag from the objects to the skybox and they will all be linked.
You can link an object to only 1 thing, so if you link an object to 2 things by accident, then that might be wrong in the heirachy, as you get parents, which are the things that are linked to from the child, and the child, which link to the parent, and it forms an obvious heirachy.

EVERY TIME I TRY TO MAKE A LEVEL WITH A BASE something goes wrong the closest I ever got to making a map was when I didn't make a base, but then SAPIEN goes and ruins it for me because radiosity sucks. When u make a base, and I attach it to the ground then there is no longer an object there, so when I try to "select and link" Which I don't even know what that is, I can
t attach the base to anything because there is no base!!!!!!!!!
Creating a level is harder than I thought it would be!
