ok, i followed all the video tuts for making a map in ce with HEK (except for the base ones). when i went to sapien i did the radiosity test and radiosity start. now heres the problem, when i saved the radiosity the map showed up as almost all white, edgey, and i couldn't place anything. my path thingys showed up at only a few points and were a sharp orange and yellow. this is not at all what i made in paint shop. please help me. i dont know what to do.
you probly didnt make the shader tags right. and did you run radiosity until all #s at the top read somthing like this?
0.000000000 0.000000 0.0000000
please note on most large levels, radiosity can be really stubourn and take around 1 to 24 hours long. if not more. one map i made had some many diffrent textures it was going to take 46 hours and 35 minutes (do the math)
i did wait till they all read 0.00000000 w/e. i didnt have to wait at all. i started radiosity and instantly it said 0.00000000. i double checked the shader. its right. idk what happened.
or instead of trying to fix the problem just try rebuilding your scenario and delete your existing lightmaps and stuff and try again. sometimes it saves time instead of trying to fix it over and over. or try running it in tool instead of sapien. sometimes that make a difference too.
thank you so much lol. but i think i figured it out. (or just advanced in solving the problem). when i open tutorial.scenario in sapien, it also has these random orange lines. its just not white. maybe i have my color settings wrong?
I had this before when i started. THe actual texture does not show if you have a bad vid card. When i got a new video card, i could see it perfectly fine.
It is more likely the card. So just guess wherethings are
That is what i had to do...

*signing on AIM*
Possible but on my ATI Radeon 7000 (T3h sux) i can see the textures.
What video card do you have Arbiter?
Maybe he UVW Maps are fucked up. Unless they look like that in 3ds max as well, I'd try applying a different texture and see if it looks good. And if it does, its not your card but its your texture for sure.
