Please Insert Corect Disc

ok this sounds weird or maybe not to you but when i put the Halo disc in and try to run halo pc or halo ce it says "please insert correct disc, hit ok then restart application"
thing is the right disc IS in it
i went to the microsoft support site, did the stuff they suggested
like cleanin the disc, changin how it starts, and clean bootin, but still none of them worked
is something wrong w/ my disc or wrong with my computer?

Ummmmmmm, maybe you have some sort of virus......You can do a mcafee scan on your computer to check.

ok i scanned found nothin
under further inspection i found that my cd drives were disabled or somethin

EDIT:
i went to device manager and went to the properties of it and got this error for both

Windows cannot load the device driver for this hardware. The driver may be corrupted or missing. (Code 39)

Click Troubleshoot to start the troubleshooter for this device.

i uninstalled and reinstalled and they are still there
i dont know what the problem is

well all I can think of is for now, use a cd-patch.

WOOOOOOOO i fixed it!!! i found somethin on the microsoft site that had similar problems to mine but wasnt it, i tried it cuz none of the fixes for the problem i had worked. and this worked!!!
what i had to do was go into

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Class\{4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}

and delete the upper filters and lower filters there in the registry
then i restarted and it works!!![/quote]
