Colorful Armor

Post by Ted Dibiase »

I don't see why I cannot see armor color just because of my gfx card much less the shine. It's just stupid. Is there a way to allow this?

I looked at the hog in knaves timberland mod and it looks great and like the the gfx got better. I want that and color as well.

How?

k well i dont know wut kinda card you have, but you could try this and see if you get better results: i copied this from hack halo's web site :P
==========================================
If your useing an ATI card 9600 or higher run Halo with this command line

Halo.exe -use20

If your useing something below or a Nvidia card use

Halo.exe -use11

That should dramticly improve your proformance, also note that your card has a fillrate how this works is every frame has how many pixels? in the example of a 1024x768 res that's how many square pixels? 786,432 pixels per frame. So if you turn on FSAA x4 then we need four frames for every frame rendered so that number jumps to 3,145,728 pixels per frame so as you can see FSAA will require a trendmendously higher Fillrate.

I tried it on mine but I couldn't see a diffrence. The only thing I could tell is I was running 1-8 fps slower then what I normaly do. Which is around 45-70 depending on level and stage. Except damnation, that map kills my fps so bad. But it looks sweeet. In all, for the higher cards I fell it doesn't make a diffrence but I never tried thsi when I had my Intel Video Card.
