Yeah sure you could probably use a 256MB card but its gonna do nothing in the long run. Unless its like a 6800 or 6600. But any other card smaller then that does not have the enough power to make use of extra 128MB ram you get with the 256MB of ram card.Uber-Banana wrote:,do you think that someone could get a 256, 128 would be enough for me, but personally 256 would pwn, i am wondering if it as all possible

no not realy...well it was... in its day, but not much power.
and its getting old realy old...in fact i think the drivers for this card
are for derectX8..... I dont know, depending on ur cash flow..personly
i would choose an ATI9600xt or 9800pro,,, or you no what?..even look at
some of the diamond video cards, see what they have to offer.
But stay away from any of the cheaper nvidia card (ie)the5200 types
unless you know how and are good at OCing_over clocking them.
Realy good prices now that the new bread are out so yea look at the
9600's from ATI : good frame rates and more then enuff power
to run any of then next generation game's

just hold on there, just because his computer is 4 years old dosen't mean he can't a good GFx card. You need a crash course through computer hardware.Spartan (Foods?) wrote:keyword.Uber-Banana wrote:4 years old

And I didn't say they wouldn't work with his computer. He really needs to give his computer specs out so we can help him select a video card. Anyways he mentions he has a geforce2 mx pro. So hes bound to have either a AGP slot or some PCI slots to use or make use of.Robin wrote:No, graphics cards only work with computers compatible to them. Exactally. So what are the specs? It wont hurt to give them out. We can do research and search for the best possible card for you if needed.Tech^salvager wrote:And I didn't say they wouldn't work with his computer.
