W.I.P Last Stand W.I.P (Doing Great!)PICS!!
The game runs off an engine that supports VIS, so basically what you cant see wont be rendered, so if you see somthing that is very high polygon in one scene then it will lag, if you got a massive map, and you are soperated from a 100,000 polygon model by a wall, you wont see it and you wont lag.
Se you musta had a really high polygon open map.

hey! bastards! KNOCK KNOCK! if you feel warm squishy stuff in your underwear, it's because you just messed yourself. enjoy the render

looks a lil like nmc.
edit: i was at skool, so i didnt get time to give my view on the map so far, so this is what i think of it.
It looks good, has a similar theme to NMC with a bridge down the middle and buildings and roads everywhere else.
good things: new wepons and vehicles, new big map, good for snipers and vehicular murderers.
bad things: is it too big? poly count, lag?
things to think abt: where does that bridge go? it feels like one side of the map is a run down town and the other is a big city. u need to bridge the gap with something.
what i wanna see: them eliite drop pods and wepon pods, war torn textures, and in game shots.
looks good guys, i cant wait.

Asassin, chill. i had to work out the buildings first off. craters were planed from the very start. the smashed building was created before i ever started this map, and it was a good model to put in. craters are last for a good reason. so they won't be as much of a pain in the ass as if i had started on them first. other buildings will be on fire. i can't model fire
the rest of the wartorn look will be in the skins. there's only so much destruction you can model without going into a high poly count. i'm keeping it down, in case you didn't notice. oh yeh, btw, more buildings DO have chunks out of them. i'll have to update you guys with a render. probably late tonight though.
{ST} 117,yes, it will have those good things. too big? nahhh... i think not. especially with a pelican dropship. it has to be a very big map. poly count hasn't reached 11,000 even, so lag shouldn't be to much of a problem on the model side of lag problems. bitmaps could be another story (NMC). as for the freeway, it provides quicker transportation from one side of the city to the other. also, with the buildings, if you noticed, they surround the smaller inner city. this is a normal way in which cities are established today. the center is the oldest, and usually has the smallest buildings. same with this map. another thing about the bridge, it also provides access to sub-terrain routes. that would lead to lower levels of the city, such as those in New Mombassa (the cut scene in H2 before the Outskirts level).
anymore thoughts????

Yea! That just sounds about right!
Did my guess gave you some hints? Did you create it or do you absolutely love race track?
Now you got a race track, you need to mention to them that you love nude women so they'll put in for hardcore nude women as fan... Tell em you love Coca Cola factory so they'll slap the logo on one of the building and put in all soda machines.
Oh yeah, and we will listen to the awesome tunes on AK47 with built in MP3 player.
