.rar you will need WinRar. Google it, ya lazy bum. Map files can be opened in halo, with HHT, HMT, or Sparkedit. All of these can be downloaded at the utilities forum in the files forum.
Load up Halo
Go to Campaign
select the level you edited
laugh at the covenants futile attempts to kill you, as you put thousands of shotguns at the start, didnt you

select the map you edited
i reccomend creat a LAN game to test
edit if it didnt work
re test

go out on a killing spree on internet, or even a local LAN game

Umm, I was asking HOW you edit a map, and I was also asking how you OPEN ".map" files. I don't have Spark Edit, HHT, or HMT. I'm also like an ubernoob at this stuff.
try searching mulitple things, and it isn't really a hard thing todo, now actually creating stuff for Halo, that's the challenge... thankfully I found out how to do vehicles now...
Spark edit comes with tutorials... you should also check search around for tutorial on it too, I haven't used it in depth, because I stick to Halo CE rather than PC...
