Skinning Problem in Halo CE(looking for help!)

Skinning Problem in Halo CE(looking for help!)

Hi all, I wanted to skin the shotgun. At a bgeinners level, I started with a green shotgun.

I followed this tutorial right to the point:

Now, I'm having a problem. I got the skin in and everything, then i go to compile with Tool. The compilation works, but, when I pick up the shotgun in the map, its the original skin, it's not green. How can this be if I overwrote that map? Someone please help and tell me what I did wrong. Thanks for any help you can give.

its probably cos u havent re-reference the shader to ur new bitmap

O, you mean tell the shotgun gun.shader_model to go to my new bitmap? I tried that and it didnt work. I'll try again. Would it be to much trouble, as if to ask someone who has skinned sumthing befroe(anything) to right up the steps here for me, and for the benifet of others? Thanks if you can. Halo CE is a real pain in the ass.

I take it you did re-compile the tutorial scenario after referenceing the shader, and you didnt get any errors?

Not for this skin, although, I tried skinning the MC and i got errors about the size.

I also opened up this map in HHT and realized the bitmaps werent in the mapfile. :x
