Finish a new model/mesh? Got something you're working on? Finish a new map? Here's the place to post it for feedback and whatnot.

Go to bone edit mode, and make them bigger or give them fins. Can do them all at the same time.

no... as i said.. normal bones do not work well.. with fins or without.... they just DONT work with masterchief... you HAVE to go and fix a lot of vertices because of the armour, you do. period. end of discussion.

Lol, i can argue that, create an extra bone at the joints where the verts skrew up, and add fins to them, that would work. Maybe it would just mean you are making extra work for yourself, well you would be on the point where you play around with the IK's.

Or you could do half of it, include all IK's, then mirror the weights and that would work.

Oh lets just leave this.

You just have no idea, youve never done the model......... *quivers* There are so many little nobs and extrusions on this model that are hard to rig, and no. when you are using charactor studio you cant add extra bones... or fins, so, rig this model, and make it functional, by just putting in bones and ajusting there size.

haha if u were properly rigging a character you wouldnt be using those scrubby premade biped skeletons in the first place :P and properly rigged you would be enveloping still, Of course your way would work yes but rigging a model to be able to do any action and position smoothly that is not the proper way to go....

nice to see you guys back to hibernation!

Theres more ways rather than skin modifier to warp bones to a mesh. ;). And I can use a premade biped, the classic one I prefer, I did standard characters, no aliens with 12 arms and 7 legs and 3 heads ;). It also would work pretty smoothely. Its just as good.
