how do you join your own ds server it wont let me

first make sure you're using different ports than your dedicated server...start up halo and go to settings then the network thing (cant remember what its called exactly, and change the number of the ports to like 1350, and 1340, then start up ur DS (dedicated server) and in halo, go to multiplayer then on join game, hit "direct IP" and type your internet ip their and join it. (to get your ip click start > run > and type cmd then OK. a window will appear. their type ipconfig and it should tell you your IP
