Question about XBL and hard drive

Post by mealsoha »

I heard that if you get a new(bigger) hard drive after you have signed up for live that it will read a change in the eeprom code and ban you? Is that true and if so...can you put in the hard drive before you activate live and be ok(not get banned). I have a xecuter 3 mod chip so do i have anything to worry about with live if i leave the chip turned off? thanks alot...any help would be appreciated

This may be wrong, but if you get all your fun stuff BEFORE you sign up, then it won't really know there was a change, i'm not very sure, but check it out.

(SORRY for double post but)

I think with Chips that you can turn off, you can play live, but I would get all of your stuff first, then sign up.

Damn, I am already signed up to Live. I want to get a mod chip and uhh, is there any way I can cancel my subscription, install the chip, then start it up again?
