Connecting through router or modem

Hi, I just bought Halo and I am having trouble making games. I have noticed that when i am plugged directly into my modem i can make and join games. When I am connected through my router i can still do both but no one can get into my games, it just says negotiating for them. Anybody know what to do?

Open ports on ur router, ports 2302-2303 for UDP protocol or if u use other ports; open them. It's probably under NAT somewhere in your router-menus.

thanks i think i got it, but one more thing, can i also connect wirelessly or do i have to be plugged into the router?

Thanks i thinki got it to work, but do you know if i can do it connected wirelessly of if i have to connected through ethernet?

Do what ? Open ports ? U'll need to be connected to ur router.. wired or wireless.. doesn't matter.
