I don't know if this has been asked before, if it has you have my appologies, but I was wondering if it is possible to get a 3rd person view in Sp and/or Mp. Anyone have any ideas?
i think u have 2 do more than that. try keeping the vehicle track, but see if u can swap the fp model of mc with the 3rd person. if that dont work, swap every item that has a 1st person view with their 3p models, along w/ the mc 3p view an whatnot
the thing said in the post above my previous post does nothing... thats just models which could be giant blobs and you would still be in first person...
And remember people!
this place should have no affect on the other forum!
ya but u change it 4 a vehicle track or use that one FOV hack 2 pull it back so ur in 3p and instead of getting a good look at some disembodied arms holding a gun with a weird fish-eye effect u get a pulled-back look at the 3p model of the mc holding the gun and whatever. theoretically.
what would make sence to me to think of first is swapping the fp model of the mc since its only arms i think when u look at it and swap that for the master chife full model. Thoughi heard that swapping models almost never works its mostlikely not gonna happen but if u could swap them then just edit the camera to be really fare away from the mc i think wed be close to what you want. dont flame me if this has already been mentioned i havent tried it this is just complete speculation your free to try it if its possible though

You guys have got it all wrong! The answer is not in swapping, it's in training.
What you need to do is take someone who programs trainers. Get them to isolate the variable that switches the view from 3rd to 1st when you jump out of a vehicle. Isolate the hex value and make a trainer to keep a constant third person value.
I've tried to make this trainer and I've tried to talk to other trainer programmers but no one cares about me and my puny efforts. This will work.
lol u definately got a point there i never thought of it that way... its kinda like what we were saying swap the camera view of the normal mc to the vehicle view.... tho ur idea envolves hex editing and will probally work better
EDIT: is there even a view that specifies the mc's i thought it was in his animation file. the way i see it is when u play halo ur pc doesnt see ur player unless inside of a vehicle. because if u look at the fp model for the mc all it is are hands hmm.. i got an idea let me try it

I found something, a hex value that has information about camera positions and such. It says camera.txt, but I can't find it. It also says stuff about floating cameras. I'm on to something.

damn O_O what file u find that in i think the trak files completely useless for the biped i jus randomly shoved bites into the biped trak file and nothing happened its not used for the mc apraently lol

wow why is it hard coaded i mean the vehicle pos are diff and when u get out it slowly goes back to the mc making it look like a camera position

I don't know what I'm talking about. I think it's hard coded because nobody's been able to figure this out. If it wasn't hard coded, it would be in the map files for editing.
