Weapons, 10 weapon types:Well here's the latest update from Ace:
Well I havn't talked to Andrew much with Halo 2 bieng out xbox live....etc. anyways I havn't talked to Oxy either but I will tommorow so me and Him can make tags and stuff and make a HUGE update that's 90% correct. Well here's the update:
Cote d'Azur Update By 00Ace
1.Duel SMG's-working on(OXY)
2.Duel Magnums(ACE)
3.Duel Needlers-complete needs skin (ACE)
4.Duel Plasma Rifles-Complete needs skin(ACE)
5.Energy sword- Unknown right now
6.Battle Rifle(ACE OR OXY BUT MINE's BETTER)
7.Particle beam rifle
8.Recoil Shotgun
9.Sniper rifle
10.Oh I was thinkin maybe the Rocket Launcher or Brute shot or the Fuel Rod Gun
and of course the new Halo 2 nades
Vehicles, 6 vehicle type:
1.Guass Hog
2.Banshee
3.spectre
4.scorpion
5.ghost
6.shadow or another vehicle
Well it may be a small update but wait till Oxy and I have the Huge one done....Not just weapons Oxy and I will have all kinds of tags and each weapon specifacations details etc. about sounds and other tags too so just sit tight till Oxy and I begin the Huge update!
Note what if Cote fails maybe it has 10000000 open edges well atleast Oxy and I will have the ultimate Halo 2 ALL TAGS pack for any map! Its gonna be big full of weapons vehicles Skins Effects Sounds Etc, AI Every little tag detail besides the map will be in Oxy's and my pack, Including all types of weapons and vehicles screw the limit people can come up with there own list of stuff it's gonna be all there....and watch for an update on mixed weapons DUEL PLASMA RIFLE+SMG so look out for it when Oxy and I finish!

i caNT WAIT TILL THIS COMES OUT...I HAVE A SUGGESTIONG...YOU SHOULD ALSO HAVE DIFF COMBOS OF DUAL WIELDING...LIKE GOOD COMBOS...HERES SOME GOOD COMBOS...

speak of the devil, i was just going to ask that! as you may have seen in some of the pics, the previous ground texture was just a temporary picture. I'm not sure how they did the roads and sidewalks for New Mombassa, but i'm doing mine as one big texture so that i only need one groundbox (eliminating sewers as well.... did not fit well with gameplay). The thing about the test TIF was that it was only about 1000x1000 pixels, but this gave it a bad stretched out look, even when rendered. The new TIF is roughly 20,000x20,000 pixels, and almost completed. It looks very nice, and i am very happy with my futuristic roads (inspired of course by the E3 Mombassa video and NMC). When I try to add it as a Multi-Sub Object bitmap though, it gives me the error "could not read TIF file" or something like that. Is it the size? ot is it that i just reformatted my comp for better everything and am now using Max 7? Any ideas or opinions are much appreciated! If i do need to split up the ground box into individual road plates, what would be the best way of approaching this?

They will have created different textres for curves, straight paths, all the turns in the road, then select different faces in the road and give them the correct mapping channel, then UVW map it to look right. Using larger textures will mean that the texture takes longer to load, possibly slowing loading time, but i dont think it will slow gameplay. Must be a huge file size on the image
