this is incredibly beautiful. i'm working on a map right now for my team, a similar type of deal, but nowhere near as huge as this map is. that is just... nuts. can you go into all of the buildings? i am making it so that you can go into all of the ones on this map i've been working on. i like seeing your work, it all looks good to me!
GOOD LUCK ON BEING A DEVELOPER!!!
GOOD LUCK ON BEING A DEVELOPER!!!
Not only are you a good PC modeler but your also a good RL modeler
I like it a lot, nice dude. I hope to see you start a COMPANY of your own and make some games...i would buy every one of them lmao.
Unless it was like....rampaging cheese...actually, i would buy that because it would intrest me...
You get the point...

WOW! thanks for all the flattering replies everybody! Becoming a Developer is my dream, and owning my own company is a bigger one! I've thought about it a lot, and already have a few ideas for instant-success games.... but of course I cannot share those
To answer the common question of the building accesibilty, certain buildings that offer strategic gameplay will be fully or partially accebile on multiple floors, while everything else that is on ground level will just have a closed in reception or lobby area that you can break into. And since Cote is in a state of emergency, I figured the traffic lights would be flashing all three hues repeatedly. Not very good for the traffic, but it makes good panic! Again, any help on the before-mentioned things would be greatly appreciated... even jus advice or points towards tuts are good.
And because you crazy people seem to like my little map, here are some rendered pics:
This is the interior of Washington Mall. IT actually has no real value except that if you want you can pull off a Warthog jump inside but it's not really important. I liked the angle of the pic though.

And this is the outside of Washington Blvd. It shows off the south block municiple buildings and parking garage.

If in the slight event that this gets bumped back a few days, will people still play it after Halo 2? I know I'll be all over Halo 2, but I'll still release. Give me honest feedback.

yea, those stairs are from 3ds max. concerning the trash bags and street peripherels, it would be much better to have them as scenery... maybe even destructible. Do you know how to do that HMC Helljumper.... I also enjoyed your tut on elevators and animated scenery. could you maybe help me there too? going one foot per hour would be baaaaaaaaaaad.

Ok all I aint really got another update but im school, i'll have one when I get home, anyways I have to say that
1.Hmc Helljumper the Trashbags and stuff are just reference for uncle andrew, and that I will make them into scenery once he completes most of the stuff and can make seperate max files for scenery
2.The stairs dont lag, its a thing called stingers, there like for instance a big invisable piece of ply wood under the stairs.
I'll have an update like I said when I get home it's last period now so it'll be a bit cuz the Bus and all well im off cya.
Thanks,
Ace
