just instaled halo and it wont work !!! help plz!

hey
well i just instaled halo on my new computer and i go to play and i get "Gathering Exception data...". I don't know why it did that because on my old computer it worked fine.

My computer:

AMD athlon XP 2600
windows 2000
ATI Radeon 9000 with up tp date drivers
40gb hard drive
520MB RAM

No.

Just instaled it and when i went to play it came up with this error.

Ya i reinstaled it on a different drive and still the same error.

error message only comes up when you have HMT open or your map file is corrupted

well thats wierd because i don't have HMT on my computer.

I instaled halo ce and the same thing comes up, so ... i don't know .

some files on your computer such as your windows directory (possibly windows files) are contradicting with the code from Halo.

solution: well I dunno the exact error.

well just instaled the demo and it works fine!!!

demo perhaps has some files self-packaged, but its a different structure than the actual game.
