You real trouble will be the models. And overlord? GEARBOX made HPC. Not Bungie.

Not to mention HPC is video card intensive. Those scratches and shiny textures are there, they just can't be rendered by a surprising amount of cards.

the reason for alot of the texture changes in HPc is because of space/memorry issues. While X-box may have all the space it needs (as it plays from cd) and a crapload of ram (because it is designed for gaming), a PC does not have unlimited space or a crapload of ram, so HPC by default is going to have less detail-stuff than the original X-Box version.

I'm a little confused. You said this was supposed to look somewhat like Halo 2? It's a great idea, but so far from all the pics I've seen in this post, the only thing that looks out of the ordinary is the Jackal shield. besides something like the crosshairs, is there something else I'm missing from those pics? anything?

lol. thanx. just makin sure i'm not crazy. u know, someone a while back did Matrix scrolling numbers on the Jackal shield. that was awesome! any sort of animation on something like that (at least in my opinion) is an accomplishment :)

I will be modeling guns and other stuff and the jackel shield moves. Its not 1 solid picture.

moves? you mean like the covenant stationary shields you see in mp maps like Danger Canyon?

So far you cant tell the diff much from screen shots But i have modded quite a bit so far. I have imported sounds for a few guns now and i have modded crosshairs and many other things including guns. The needler is fuckin scary as hell now and the needles travel a bit faster. I have also made the warthog minigun fire much faster as well as a level ROF. (no more build up time to hit the max ROF) I halso made the ghost shoot just like halo 2 (100% accuracy) and i made it fire a bit faster. I have also done a few other tweaks here and there. I want to start modeling soon so hopfully i will have new gun models in very soon. :)

i think they did more than that since the code for the flamethrower and Covenant Engineer appear in some of the sp missions (not to mention the new MP maps and fuel rod gun).

im looking forward to more halo2 maps for halo CE. and its probably a bit easier to do than modding halo pc to be like halo2.
