Mapping?

Post by 854961 »

Hey, If youre reading this post, you either want to flame, or help. Im hoping its the latter.

Im building a new map, and since im fairly new to all this, im gonna need a lil help in producing it. I dont need a team, all i need is one person whos done at least one map before (or worked on a team before). Im gonna need help with the basic mapping (3ds 7). If you think you wanna help out, add me to msn ([email protected]) and i can tell you more about the project.

Its already started, but now i realise that if i want something good, im gonna need you (yes, you).

P.S - If you feel you can contribute anything to my map (out of the kindness of your heart), feel free to add me also.

I do, however hes in 3ds 6, im in 7. i know, it shouldnt matter, but when i (for example) attach a base to a map, where it attatches to the map, there is a mini version of the map :?

so a human who i can talk to, is much better than a tutorial i have to translate

OK - how about i just ask directly for my biggest problems.

How do you create polygons? Im building an underground thingy, and ive taken out the wall conecting it to the tunnel. now what? if got the 'create' thingy in the modifier stack, so what do i do? make triangles in an anticlockwise way? connecting the vertex? Well, i dont have the vertex. Anser that one then.

Second - the attaching problem, when i create polygons to attach a base to the map - how do i do that?

The only way you will be able to give me an answer i understand is by looking at what ive done, while talking to me about it, and helping out.

If you want to try to explain it, feel free, i'd do my best to understand it, however if you really want to help, you shoud just do as i said in the first place and message me.

I wouldnt come to you guys unless the tutorials dont explain things well enough to me.
