The Zanzibar Mod

I've seen people talking about it a lot, but has it actually been released? The screen shots show an all out multiplayer war so what's the hold up? Is it a hoax or a cool map to tie us down til November. How do you guys feel about this mod?

I've played Zanzibar before and it still has quite a few bugs left in it, so you can lay that hoax theory to rest. Personally i don't see any point in rushing this map, I mean the people who are getting halo 2 shouldn't give a rats @ss when this thing comes out, they wil have it for real in 3 weeks. If you have waited for 3 years im sure you can wait 3 more weeks. For the people who aren't getting halo 2 then they can wait as well. They will be waiting a lot longer then us xbox owners to play the real deal and if they keep rushing the map they will be playing a piece of sh*t when its released. All in all the map is pretty good. Just needs a few touch ups and it will be ready to go.

it doesnt look that great, and personaly im getting sick of fake halo 2 maps

Well i agree with you, halo ce maps will never be as good as the real halo 2 maps but, this is just something for the pc people to play till 1.They buy an xbox 2.Halo 2 comes out on pc. If Halo 2 was released for xbox and pc on november 9th then this mod wouldn't even exist.

True. And I still appretiate the hard work people do on some of these CE mods. Some things (like the actual energy sword in The Streets of Earth City) I still have no idea how to duplicate. And Zanzibar CE I guess will give those anti-Xbox fanatics out there a taste of Halo 2, but I've waited two years for Halo 2 (since that's when i saw the first trailer), so I'll just wait the three weeks to play the real thing

LOL! Are you kidding?! Zanzibar already is a peice of sh**!! No offence but that map is SO unfair and the weapons are crap. Not crap model wise but like I just don't like the idea of the BR and the SMG.

P.S. BG is ALSO a crappy map. Blue base is to frickin low and is ALWAYS under attack. If there's a Bg in H2 I'm gonna throw a fit and smash my comp.

Yes it does, H2 has most if not all of the Origanal maps. so go, please smash your computar

So does anyone have the mod to download? Even if it's just like a beta? I'd still like to try it. But if not, I don't mind in the least waiting for Halo 2
