Vertigo City: A Future Badass Map
I need assistance on making Vertigo City, The original design featured it as 6 game kilometers in width hieght and 7 game kilometers in length for the main boxed in area for the map.
I have five people on my team so far:
{FA}Ghost
Shadow Wolf: a modeller who will not be a beta tester, or have the map until it's made and released
[SE]Caboose
Myself
and another who's name i shoulda written down
Apply in here to assist me with the map.
If your a modeller i'll give you a specific vehicle to model.
If your a mapper I'll send you the designs for the map.
If you are good at bitmapping I'll tell you the types needed for the map.
And the rest who apply that can do other things, like put the sounds and stuff on everything, I'll give you the stuff you need to add.
For all that apply to help me, thank you, for the rest, you'll have to wait til the map comes out to see the finished version.
The Vertigo Rumble or Covie Cruiser might be a leak that i'll allow and add to the map pack, but the full Vertigo City map will be better than either part alone When or if finished. And yes, there will be a HALO 2 MOD in the finished version.

Well if i can get my Gmax to work by tomorrow cus i just dled it i may be able to model 4 u... but since im not home and im at the library and ill be home from vacation 2morrow! [ i just saved all the gmax components to a non-reburnable disc from the library...] so i may be able to start modeling by tomorrow.... but if u need an experienced modeler, then dont recruit me... im new.

The Vertigo City Project
Since I now have some more ppl on my team I can get started with giving the drawings to be modeled, tell me ur MSN if you hav it, mine's [email protected]
The project info will be shown to those on my team, but I still need a mapper to assist me, I can draw the stuff and give the dimentions of how big it will be in the game. The map will need specific high detailed bitmaps too, I can take and mix the basic colors in paint, but the rest is up to the mapper and stuff.
Also, my trial 3ds max needs to be registered buy i don wanna spend any money, (can some1 giv me a code i could use)
There is one more thing I need, which will be the beta testers, I will need a group that will not leak ANYTHING unless I say to, to give ppl a taste of the map.
I will give some of the things needed to be modelled:

Also the very last part I will need is someonewho can add AI and the Covenant & Marines to go with it.
The next i'll need is a specialist in making doors and lifts useable and auto openable.
The final thing i need is an expert who can add the mods for energy sword lunge, hyjacking, boost, dual weaponry, and more halo 2 features.
Lastly said, I wanna make a map Bungie and it's ppl never could think of.
And it will be much larger than Autumn Slay, if you've ever played that map.

Hehe well you might as well forget duel weilding man....I know someone who is the only person who has actually done it, but im saying how and ive seen a vid in a snowy map of it too, and I can't show it though and dont come asking me for help because I aint gettin in trouble and loosing my Halo 2 map, nope but you might as also forget working doors like u stated over at files, and elevators fuck with the Netcode, unless you make Animated Scenery wich moves on its own like a looped video. I wish you the Best of luck in your map man just didn't want you to get your hopes up and then you fail at acheiveing all of this im sure you will produce a kick ass map though!

I have seen AI in plenty of MP maps & I was thinking about adding Marines and Covenants with AI for scenery, that would shoot back at you if you stot at them. I at first thought that there were triggers for the doors, similar to sensors, but i suppose it's not a trigger.
I also thought that the Use button (E) would work to activate 1 of the 2 parts to the animation for the lifts.
Those were extra ideas, but those can be added after the map is finished, until then, ladders and opened doors will be in the map.
Also, there are grav lifts in the map to, which will be modified teleporters with the purple teleporting effects for going up and down it.

Vertigo City Project: Filming Resources
There is another feature that should be added to the map in general, THE HALO VIDEO CAMERA: Large weapon and has a sparkle effect to show who has the camera, Zoom will go from 1x in scope to 4x to 8x to 10x
Primary Fire: Overshield
Secondary Fire (Grenade): Super Jump
Flashlight: White Sniper light (not the usual green)
Melee: Fuel Rod Gun Melee Animation (No Damage)
Ammo: Unlimited
No Overheat

I quite like the idea of a camera.. but it will have to have alot of features, people like to film stunts mainly so you would need some area which is good for stunts but also good for fighting.
I had an idea for the doors, and i really dont know if it would work but it could, but im not sure about the collision. If you got a door as a vehicle kinda thing... could you make it so with melee you could hit the door open? (or drive into it or whatever) cauz that would be cool, and i think it can be done, but possibly wont be efficiant.

There will be a flat area (the main Vertigo City Runway) to do hog flips off of tanks and stuff, also there'll be rises in the runway for ramping vehicles.
Other stunts would be done by the park area where there'll also be an invisible orb chopper with a beacon to find it, this vehicle is for filming, there will be no sound as i will be a stealth orb chopper.
1st person orb chopper, since the orb chopper is invisible using camoflauge, the one who pilots the chopper will also gain camoflauge apon entering it, and lose that powerup apon exiting.
Primary Fire: Fire Flare
Secondary Fire: Boost
The Orb Chopper when hit by any explosive or ammo of any kind will not harm the pilot.
