i dont feel sorry for em. sniping grunts is the most fun this to do aside from blowing them upSpartan (Foods?) wrote:ohh the grunts are so cute.... ahh so soft, squishy, makes you feel like hugging them, they look like a good teddy bear...armed&triggerhappy wrote:so is supposed to work? i mean, on cartographer, when you go to the shafted part, and u go up the slopey thing, and theres that sleeping grunt up there, and i kill him and when the grunt walks around the corner, he just keeps on walking, without noticing his little budies lying in a pool of his own blood![]()
and i love how the grunts walk. it looks like their limping
thats wat makes them so much fun... you snipe in on them, and you almost feel sorry for them
lol
The zombies.....they're coming.....
ai in never rele ai. is it. it only learns and adapts as certain things happen. It only moves if something affects it...its all within limitations. its part of the programming. AI never rele "learn" they jus recognise wat ur doing and the have programming to move and change. AI programming is very large and advanced but i bet u if u did something twice in exactly the same way...then only a certain number of possibilityies will occur becoz its programmed to react that way. for example throwing a nade at a grunt...its programmed to turn and fire to move out of the way or ignor it i gess. it wud never do a cartwheel or a somersault to avoid it, it would never catch it and throw it back. If it was learning, it wud react in a more effective way evry time but it dont. it just does the certain options its programmed to do. this "AI" makes games mor fun tho, but its not actually AI. is it?

He didn't. And don't spam, either.EvilPickels wrote:DON'T BUMP!!
But yeah, 117 is absolutely right. What we have created isn't "real AI". What we have created is something that is programmed to respond in a certain way based on the situation, not an application that can 1. adapt to a certain situation by 2. Learning a piece of information by either observing someone or being told by someone else. There are "Artificial Neural Nets", but they're only capable of learning things like the probability of numbers.
