Halo Replicas and Ideas
this is a little topic for all things replica like. Idea spawned from Phantom15's Myer's Manx warthog project! thanx Phantom!
Ideas welcome always!
[EDIT - Edit, don't double post - KaptainKommie]
ok, here's my idea for my first replica. I have an old sturdy little Honda CT70 1975 trail bike, and i'll be making a shell for it that fits onto the old frame, to make it look like a ghost... ideas still needed... in designing phase now.
It's either that or build it from scratch...

i think a cool replica to make (and i know people would buy) would be of course the biggest son-of-a-bitch-stick energy sword!
i figure you make the handle from aluminum (plastic if you want it cheap)..and it will hold the batteries and power supply.. make the sword from plastic or maybe plexiglass and run some fiber optics or an light (located in the handle) through it to make it glow. The sword will be 3 1/2 to 4 feet long which MAY or MAYNOT make it heavy.

good. idea. i like it. but after all, my ct70 isnt gonna cut it for the power of the replica. not gonna work as itll be too heavy if i made it out of anything other than plastic, which is expensive...
so im glad for the idea. also, just thought maybe could do like, weapons, both human and covvie. that would be pretty cool.
(maybe i could build it from scratch tho, so the ideas not completely out the window...)

just had to let you know, that if you didnt know that those eyes are either:
a) done in photoshop
b) really FREAKIN OBVIOUS contact lenses.
and i was thinking to do a sculpture of the light sword and have it get vaccuum molded. then i could just pour melted plastic and/or fiberglass solution into it and do it that way.
ive seen 3-d pics and screenshots of the thing... i was thinking to do the modelling off of that.
if anyone has any idea of where to get better pix of the thing, PLZ tell me. the ones ive seen are BARELY enough. i would appreciate haveing more.

i think i might make the spanker missile launcher in woodshop. its really a really boring class cuz i keep finishing early. only thing is, i dont know if he'll recognize a rocket launcher or not. were not allowed to make bongs, guns, or knives... then i could drill holes in it and add a rubber band to make the biggest friggin spitball gun around... and since art is a requirement, ill paint it in that class

i might be able to get wireframe blueprints for ya, i'll see wat i can do.
also, when u make this, put pics up so we can all see them.
(BTW i dont know if wood would be a good item for making this, but i can see why you would. its carvable, and it CAN be lightwieght. you have to get the right type tho...)

i chose the rocket launcher cuz its really a basic shape.. just cylinders and a box. and plus, my teacher might not recognize it as a weapon. now, the battle rifle for instance.... id be suspended bfore u know it. ill have to use some light wood. and for the blueprints.. could u have a top, bottom, front, back, sides etc.? thats if its possible. they dont even have to be wireframe. just regular skins would work. thanx
