windows SP2 problems...READ!

im having trouble with the stupid winxp sp2! it shows on the automatic updates but when i hit download the little logo on the taskbar just goes away and it never download! the check mark next to it is ticked so i know its not that, it just wont download, stupid thing anyone else havin this prob?:

or try from M$. If that doesn't work, be happy you aren't me. I can't install SP2 because it fucked up my machine REALLY badly.

i downloaded winsp2 like 2 days ago so its all 'gravy'.... :)

dude dont download SP2 yet. It has some serious problems with the directx drivers and such, you wont be able to play halo. Otherwise go to google and search for "Download Windows XP Service Pack 2"

I got mine from there, but never installed it.

download the full patcher from microsoft......it's about 266mb.......and install, there are viruses and worms that disable your windows update with in windows.........patch your self

Lol, I have SP2 already and I can play Halo fine, just like in SP1. I don't think you know what you're talking about.

If u search google and put in for ex. " Service Pack 2 screwed up DirectX" a lot of links pop up. Anyway on my comp it says when i try and open halo that the hardware acceleration thingy is prob off. Sooo it said do the test using a program for dirextX to seee if anything is wrong. Then i activate the program and test everything and it says... ITS ALL FINE. what kinda b s is this????? They better make a patch for this stupid update.

sorry man, can't help you much, try a manual DL? or maybe get an OS that actually operates.
