n00b who needs help

ok so i downloaded mods but i have no clue how to get them into a game, pretty much all i know how to do is download them...i would like to get into modding but ive got no clue where to start.

yuh i know im a n00b, but at least im trying

if wat u downloaded r maps, just simply copy and paste them into your halo ce\maps folder which is located usually in c:\program files\microsoft games\halo custom edition\maps

actually thats if its a map u made urself. if its a dled map just save it directly to ur haloce maps folder. then unRAR and ur set! to get winRAR go rere: www.rarlabs.com and clikc on the downloads link and click on the top download cus that one works the best. i personally dont hav time to explain winRAR to u cus i have to go to bed for skool 2morow inl ike 5 minutes... sry but i hope i help u!

and how do you get a single weapon mod? I havent seen one yet... its usually given to you patched with a map, like bloodgulch for instance...
