my server WILL NOT SHOW

Post by RoA L3th4L »

neither my dedicated server, or local server will show on the server list...i was told once that if i reset my ip, it would work...so i did just that, and it worked...once....the next time i tried, same problem, and this continued for a while till i just gave up. (at that time, i was cracked) then i was told if u buy the game, it will DEFINATELY show public...that also worked...for a day...:-\ now im stuck in the same place :'( please help me...

Well...
Local servers don't show up on the internet list.
Dedicated as sometime cracked-up.

Could a firewall or the new Service Pack 2 be the problem (windows)?

basically there are many settings for your network. its such a mess when you think about server, ip, mac, router, blah blah etc. Basically I had a friend over to play Halo and sometimes he could get in and sometimes not.. weird... anyway...

I think you might be having a porblem I was having some time ago.

Basically, as my router goes its supposed to assign you a IP (DHCP)... You want to turn that off I guess and figure out the IP prefix that your ISP uses... like my isp uses 143.207.xx.xxx so then I manually assign that. also you will need to get your subnet mask info, router, and dns servers.... aslo you might want to see if you are connected properly...

hope that helps...
