dedicated server

im having some problems setting up a dedicated server. i do all that stuff it says to do in the manual and i run the server but i can't join it :?: :?: :?: . Can anyone tell me what i'm doing wrong?

I get that alot.Did you try joining it on lan?That works alot better.If not,end your server.
sv_end_game

Wait for it to finish

Then type sv_public 1
then sv_mapcycle_begin

That should make you be able to join your server.

Ps:If you wait a week,Im releasing a program that makes using dedicated servers much easier.

yea i did try it on lan. the game just doesn't show up at all

no wait it's doing it again. i can get into it sometimes now but other times it will find the server but i can never get in it because it never connect. and it never ever comes up in the LAN list.

Mine always shows up on lan.Strange.Are you using a router or a firewall?

mine never shows up on LAN. yes im using a firewall on my hub.

ok, this is for sure, the 100% correct way to connect to your own ds...

i had the same problem, but eventually got it resolved...what u do is on halo, go to "settings" then "network settings" and change ur ports from 2302/2302 to 2301/2304...that simple
