I need soft modding help (wont load evox)

I'm trying to softmod my xbox with the splintercell gamesave exploit downloadable with action replay, the one with evox. For some reason when I get to the screen with checkpoints/levels evox never pops up and it just freezes. Can someone help me out? I'm new to this whole thing

There can't be any other Splinter cell game saves on your xbox. Just so you know.
