Around 30,000 i think? The model itself is split into many different meshes so it would become time consuming to add piece by piece how many there are in each mesh.

K well now that the gun is modeled, i need some help on how i begin to put this into HaloCE ive read the tutorial here

http://www.halomods.com/forums/viewtopi ... tom+weapon

but i am still confused on where it even tells me to start, for instance:

"2 . open up the gbx model of the pistol and copy out all the markers and put them where you roughly think they would be on your model.(a marker is basically a small box linked to the frame, name your box with a # at the begining, eg #trigger)"

What is a gbx model? perhaps the model i created? and where is the gbxmodel, i understand i make a gun frame but how do i set markers??

any help is appritiated!

The gbx model of the pistol is in tags\weapons\pistol (pistol.gbxmodel) (It stands for Gearbox model) Anyway, you really should use the sniper rifle's, it'll work better (tags\weapons\sniper rifle) If you don't get the tags\... you need to get HEK (and HaloCE).

You import the markers using James' plugin (import the gbxmodel, delete the geometry, leave the markers), and just move them around (to my knowledge) and like them to the frame.

James plugins allow you to import a model and its references into 3dsmax from a gbxmodel. You export models in 3dsmax as jms files, which you then use tool.exe to convert into gbxmodel files, which are usable by the game. I'm not sure where you can find James plugin. Definately in the news (way back there) and probably at files.halomods.com

omfg i love ur modelling skills. but to be honest, you shouldn't make anything more than 3000 polys if you want it to be in HaloCE. and if you want something in that fits those requirements.....PLEASE PM ME. I've got a map w/some new guns and yours are hot so i'd be willin to do all the tag work for ya

Hey thanks fella's i stumbled upon that tutorial last night but i had to get goin to bed. Going to read through it today and see what i can do. Dan, also thanks alot for the script! Captain if you are interested in this than maybe you and i can put something together. I've been looking into the idea of starting some sort of 'design' group for halo, and maybe even future projects. If you think maybe you'd like that let me know. Also anyone else that is interested that has skills of some sort :) or anyone looking for a modeler, let me know.
