You can do better than this but mine looks beautiful.. ATI Radeon 9800 Pro, P4 2.4, 512 DDR, using XP, with a 250GB HD. You can definately up the processor for the love of framerate.. But to make it beautiful Radeon 9800 or better.

Well, actually, if you look at the facts, AMD's Athlon XP isn't much better than Pentium processor. The Athlon 64FX-53 & FX-52 are the AMD gaming processors. But it is shown that AMD is a little better for gaming, but less in audio and video, and Intel is less in gaming, but high in audio and video. So, they're pretty much equal, just different preferences.

I mean besides, if you look at games, the processor speed is the least important part, it's the RAM and your video card that take the greatest roles.

thats why P4 is better... cheaper! and its designed so its not only for gaming.. u can make a movie, or edit audio, or edit graphics... but AMD is more for gaming... but you might get some lag when rendering a video... I dont know... anyway.. ya they avarage out...

Oh, and I suggest you disable HT on your P4 processor. HT is shown to slow down single threaded programs like games. HT is only good for double threaded aplications like Adobe Acrobat Reader. It just slows down single threaded ones though.

Ok that right there is wrong! The 9200 dosen't even have powerful enhough GPU to make use of the extra 128MB of RAM. While the 9800 barely can make use with the extra 128MB of RAM.
