first off, their are tons of shops.... there's a mall, there are bistros, there are fastfood joints, there are strip plazas... by the time you finish a game, you'll be sick of stores
second off, i'm not using mcdonalds because i honestly don't like it, but i do have about 15 starbucks around the city (which is only 5 or 6 blocks)
third off, i do have a pelican hangar bay, and a spaceport (there aren't any airports in the future), but sit tight on that idea..... i've met some people and we've talked, and the word airport came up. no further details.
and i'm already in over my head in "crap", as you so loosely coined a month of work. haha just kidding. but seriously, does anyone know how to make glass?

im sure someone with your talent with get a kind reception, and youll have no trouble finding out how to make glass.

also whats going on with the other 2 maps have you been working on them at all?

i thought a lot about the sewers, and decided to leave them out:
1. the map is already chock-full of alternative ways of getting into a base
2. it would have made the geometry tougher.... the road surface is textured to one big box. i kept it simple
there's no crystal in there right now, but it's a good idea.
yup, it should be like gta as you can pretty much go up to any car on the street and boost it, then drive over to the enemy base and run over an enemy in your new sedan. so good.
highland is ready to be exported, omaha beach needs water and fog, then will be ready. to be honest, i haven't touched them in the last 2 weeks.
bad news! apparently textures need to be have the same height and width dimension, was is not good because almost everyone of mine aren't. i still need help getting the vehicles and guns going. OxYgEn? and i will probably need help to export it. oh! and I really need glass still. i'm a member now at gearbox, but i'm not sure where to ask there.any help is much appreciated!

hey everybody, this is soooo cool i had to show you.
my mom is a news anchor, and has a great recording voice. i put two and two together, and decided to put her into cote d'azur as the AI construct Dianna (which is her name.) She will give out evacuation messages around the city (as it is directly before the impending invasion), and talk to you in the UNSC building. anyways, here's a sample:

i plan to have various voice recordings placed around the city in the form of announcments, radios, and sales. i do need info on location specific audio in sapien, though. thanks for listening. and thanks mom! she's a super lady.

Back on subject now. Can you make a custom version where while you play slayer or ctf with time limit when 5 seconds are left can a huge nuke go off before the scoreboard after wards. In the book the blow up the city. When that nuke goes off everyone dies and certain parts of the city get destroyed. How do you like the idea.
afraid that wouldn't work... the city is set at an exact time frame. it's right after the evacutation but right before the covenant occupation. i do have radio chatter of the fights going on at firebase bravo and alpha and Nova Roma and in space with the Iroquai and Leviathan though. It will give the map a much more realistic feeling from the book. Oh, and when Private Fincher gets on Satcom (if any of you buffs want to check The Fall of Reach), yeah, you'll here that too. There's lots of miitary mumbo jumbo audio.
