Editing the wallpaper for the halo menu. to put halo 1.5
i was thinking about changing the halo menu, so that it is halo 1.5 since this community has gathered alot of stuff and contributed so that it is basically not halo but not halo 2 either
so i am asking how i may do this or if it has been done yet

Juggalo 420 has basically made different options for the halo logo on the startup screen, he also goes over how to do it (these have been changed to dds files):
To apply them just open your cache002.map in (HMT3.5). Then go to bitmaps and find ( ui\shell\main_menu\halo_logo ) and inject the new dds bitmap over it.
after youre done with this, just open the cache up in spark edit, save it as a compressed map labled "ui.map" then replace the one thats in your halo maps folder.
It was actually a LOT easier than I thought it would be to put em in. If you wanna edit the actual background, just follow the steps above but replace the background file instead of the halo_logo file!
hope this helps
Just read that topic cause he goes on to talk about how it may not show up if you dont fool around with your alpha channel
