To FTP do you need a router? I mean, can't you just use a normal ethernet cable outta the back of your modem? Because that's the siuation in, and I don't wanna buy a Router because I'm low on money (ME, my mom won't buy me one) and my Modem'll like self destruct it's so fragile!
SO any help on the topic is much appreciated, and I don't feel like looking for tuts tonight, I've been horse back riding all day and I'm whooped!

Something happened.....
I baught a crossover cable the other day, and connected my xbox directly to my computer. I strongly don't belive my network card is screwed, cuz my internet was perfeclty fine till my modem broke.
Anyways, I connected to my PC successfuly because a message came up that said "New loal area network has been made" But, when I try and connect to Flash FXP, it dosn't work.
Someone tell me what I'm doing wrong. Much appreciated.

Shadow_Fox, I don't think anyone has given you a straight up answer to this.
In order to modify Halo, you need to FTP files to it (you know this).
What no one has told you is that you need to have a "modified" xbox to 1.) FTP files to and from the xbox and 2.) to even run the resulting modded Halo.
A lot of people will tell you that you need a "chip". Not so. These days there is a "softmod" where you can have a modded xbox without ever cracking the case.
Anyway, I'm not going to spoon feed you the info (would just take too long). Goto www.xbox-scene.com to learn how to "softmod" your xbox. Then come back.
