even though it has attributes similar to today, ithe game is indeed in the year 2552. It just doesn't have identical architacture to New Mombasa because that's on Earth, and Cote D'Azur is on Sigma Octanus IV. I figured they'd have different styles. This gave me some creative space to come up with my own style, which is mostly industrial park concrete and glass, with some conservative bricks and mordar as well.
I don't know how much the hogs cost (I have the city on a credit system as per the bank, and tripled dollar value from now a days). But nonetheless, the Warthog Dealership is a New car lot, not used. I don't think they have tweed jackets and bad hair do's in the future. Hopefully.
Does anyone know how to place location specific sounds? I have several audio tracks that I need to place with the respective building so that if you walk by, say, a night club, you here muffled pole dancing music from inside.

that's the plan.... at least the inspiring dream. I'm going to either digipen in Redmond, Sheridan in Ontario, or Waterloo U in... waterloo (my home). the city maps should be done in a matter of weeks. I say that because I've worked on it for 3 weeks so far, and I'm a little past halfway; but no promises.... with past maps I've always run into a problem every step of the way. Right now I can't get past tool. I assume it has to do with the alpha map... which I have no idea what it is or what it does. To be honest, I haven't made a map before, so these three are my first.
Because of some great ideas from your comments, I'm putting in some Pelican Dropships (hopefully flyable) and a grocery store. And yes, it will have a medicinal aisle with health pacs.
Can someone please refer to me or give me a tut on making scenery objects. The defintion of scenery is that it is a seperate object from the map and is placed in the map in Sapien, right? Is it possible to make it destructable? (if you drive into a trashbag, you don't want to have your hogflip over.) Is making a custom vehicle also custom scenery?
