HK UMP.45 Renders

Finish a new model/mesh? Got something you're working on? Finish a new map? Here's the place to post it for feedback and whatnot.

You actually don't need Action Replay... just go to this link...

HK UMP.45 Renders

Post by oldfaq »

hey,
well here are some more screens of the HK UMP.45 which are more updated, I plan on changing the back sight since I've been told it's off? please, I want comments and crits, I want to make this a great model, also I will be showing the bump maps applied without a texture once this beast is unwrapped any everything :D, the problem with the wires are that it sometimes shows the other side but it should give you an idea of what the flow of my mesh is, also I had planned a reflex sight but I've changed my mind, So here they are enjoy :D

wow.. I love the detail.

But it looks like the silencer requires 2 parts to be twisted on. :?

Still amazing though. Is this your 'new style' your going to make a tutorial on? I sure hope so.. it looks sw33t..

Those are amazing models... but i dont remeber seeing any of your models ingame. I hope i do soon.

And one more hting, this has probably been asked on multiple occasions but i have to ask you...

Do you realize that everytime you post... it says your name on the left hand side? I think youd be saving your self some time and a couple of keystrokes if you let the forum tell us who posted instead of doing it everytime. Plus those models basically tell us that they are yours anyway, you are the most 1337 modeller on this site.

Umm.. what are you talking about??

I have some questions, oldfaQ.
1. How do i get shadows on my renders? Do i just need lighting + models inside of a box or something?
2. How do you enable edge faces for renders?
3. Are you using booleans for all those details?
4. Can ya help me out with this problem?
5. Tut plz?! lol

1. Easily done with setting up a plane under your models and then using the photometric - Skylight
multiplier = .4
pick any color you'd like and hten set the shadows to any, and click cast shadows :)

2. right click on the words "perspective, right, left, top" in your viewport and then select edged faces, you'll have to do this for every viewport.

3. Not a chance, I hate boolens :) my tutorial will hopefuly be out soon when I get enough space to upload it

4. yeah, contact me on msn, there may not be a fix, it may just be the pic your using :) [email protected]

5. Coming soon ;)

OK this doesnt have anything to do with the models but i realized oldfaq didnt reply to HMC's question and if he doesnt mind id like to say that if he likes doing that, if its his thing that he does, then who are we to tell him not to. It doesnt bother me so it shouldnt bother you, i actually thing its kinda cool. All i'm saying is why is it so bad that he rights his name after his post, this isnt the first post in the first forum that ive read a reply asking him not to do that and in most cases it's jelaousy (not at all saying that your jealous) but I just thought this time i should write what i think.
