[quote]Lost Cove Multiplayer Level for Halo CE
Created by SomeRhino
Released August 15, 2004
Description
Lost Cove is a medium-sized map with a beach along one side, and cliffs surrounding the rest of the level. The bases are tucked away in the cliff walls, and there is a large structure in the center of the map which provides plenty of non-vehicular combat. Tunnels provide alternate access to base areas for both vehicles and infantry. Plenty of rocks and trees will provide cover as you make your way to the enemy base just before nightfall.
Installation:
Extract lostcove.map into your "Halo Custom Edition\maps\" subdirectory.
Be sure to update your filters in-game so that they display servers running custom maps.
Starting weapons:
Assault Rifle
Pistol
Frag Grenades
Vehicles:
Standard Warthog
Rocket Warthog
Ghost
Shade
(Scorpian Tank also supported depending on game settings)
(Banshee also supported depending on game settings, unavailable in CTF game modes)
If you would like put this map up for download on your site, you may, all I ask is that you keep this readme file with it.
The only known bugs/glitches on this map are some skybox issues that were a necessary evil, and some radiosity errors that are unfixable due to pieces of the lightmap being mapped to the wrong polygons.
Thanks:
Progamerz (and HaloCity) for giving me web space
Baka for developing the "Chimp" JMS file exporter
DarthAlter for promoting the map with all the shots he took
BigEric144- Video Promo
Everyone on the Gearbox forums who answered my questions
Gearbox, Bungie, and Microsoft for bringing this game to all of us
