in the command prompt window how do i go to a direcory e.g. the halo folder?

type exactly without the quotes

"cd\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Halo Custom Edition"

assuming you have your halo folder in the microsoft games in program files

or u could just do the normal person thing and put a copy (not a shortcut) of command prompt into your halo ce folder

Here's something that will make it a lot easier...

-Go to your WINDOWS folder in your Drive C.
-Go into SYSTEM32.
-Find the icon of CMD.EXE.
-Copy it.
-Place it in your Halo CE directory. (eg. C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Halo Custom Edition).

If you open up CMD.EXE in that directory, it will automatically start with C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Halo Custom Edition.

Dammit people. Make a shortcut to the cmd.exe file in the Windows\System32 folder.

Make the shortcut START IN whatever folder you want.
