Is this tutorial speaking the truth?

I just read the map rebuilding FAQ and it said and i quote
"Can I use the Energy Sword in multiplayer or single player?
Multiplayer maps do not contain the energy sword. With single player maps, you can use the Energy Sword but you cannot control it. When a marine is in range, it auto attacks and will not stop until the marine is dead." If this is so then switching all enemies to marines would allow the use of the energy sword

i think it does work but everytime i get close enough for it to attack game drops and exception error

you can controll the plasma sword all you have to do is extract the stuff from the gold elite and then make a new map and you should be able to control it if you can get it in the level and im having trouble with the plugin too it messed up th whole thing and it freaks out sometimes after i save
