sorry guys but no matter how good the other programs may be, you can ONLY use 3ds max or Gmax for halo dev.

yes, 3ds max six is clearly superior, until discreet makes the seventh edition of the best 3-6 modeling program ever, 3ds max
ASPARTAME: in your diet soda and artificial sweeteners. also, it's obviously completely safe. it's not like it will cause tumors or anything. >.>

No, 3ds Max 6 is not the best modeler, but it's the only one you can use...Because Gearbox is gay and doesn't want to allow Maya, those little **!@#(*@(@)*$(*QW&#%(*#

tried the official site -_-

anyway, 3ds max is NOT the best option, but its the only option for halo.
maya is made for film ect
max is made for games dev.
both can do other things but thats what they are suited to.

NA 3ds max 6 is making the specail effects for the movie the day after tommarow.
Modeled garfeild.
And is used in animated shows.
And 3ds max 6 got rendering and many good effect maya can't touch.

I have maya 6 and max 5 (Also bryce 5 and Vue d'esprit 5 though those don't apply)

I like max best. It's easier to build from scratch. Takes a hell of a lot of learning and i don't know a quarter of what it can really do, but, compared to maya, it's simpler to me!

Oh yeah, BTW what are the chance of my using Poser 5 to make new MC models? I mean, totally change him around? Any chance?
