HMT 3.5 is useless due to this error... Free Enigmah chip?

Hey there, yes another noob to modding, but I'm willing to bet my extra enigmah final chip sitting next to me that no one can fix this error...

And most are thinking "Who wants a damn enigmah final - it's 2004!" But hey, it's at least something for helping me out and I don't need it anyways!

So if you can figure out why this is happening, the chip is sent to you free of charge!

So here goes...

Yes, I've got the latest NET framework. I've got 2 windows XP computers and they BOTH have this exact same error. When I use HMT 3.5 (with the fix .exe patch also) and I click on my tools to open my raw offset list (I believe it's a .csv file) generated from any level, I get the following error...

"An unhandled exception has occured in your application. If you click continue, the application will ignore this error and attempt to continue. If you click Quit, the application will be shut down immediately.

Object reference not set to an instance of an object"

If I click continue, nothing happens (I don't get to see my .scv file) and if I click quit, of course it shuts down.

I have followed the Perfect Model Injectio Tutorials to a "T" with this same error everytime! So that's it folks. Just let me know where to send this chip once you figure this one out! I'm an honest 27 year old in the USAF and yes, that's even my real name(screen name)!

Well, I guess that's somewhat comforting to know I'm not the only one. Sure is a bummer not being able to use HMT to do any useful modding. I enjoy all of the .ppfs floating around, but want to mod my own levels and everywhere I look, it seems to push me back towards HMT.

My offer still stands for someone that knows the fix!

Looks like you need a new computer. For now I guess there is not much more than that you can do.

A new computer?

This happens on BOTH of my computers! One is a 700MHz Intel and the other is a 2.1GHz AMD. Granted neither one is "state of the art" anymore, but I doubt it's time to buy a new computer for HMT.

Not meaning to snap out at you, but there's got to be a reasonable solution out there.

When your left tail light on the car goes out, you don't buy a new car. You try to figure out if it's the bulb, the wiring, etc... I'm looking to see if someone has the same car as me and couldn't fix the light by replacing the bulb, but knows what's wrong!

Try going to http://v4.windowsupdate.microsoft.com/en/default.asp to update your Windows XP stuff. Also make sure you have the newest drivers for Direct X, your graphics card, and your sound card. Maybe those things will help solve your problem.

I grabbed the updates from Microsoft. Drivers are up to date. I believe I'm an administrator... what does that matter?

my computer is fine, and it's better than any other computer on the market... so i wouldn't be talking!

Haha! Easy there Spartan! We obviously have a software/hardware compatibility problem with HMT and I think he's just trying to help. I was hoping someone had our same situation, but found a fix!

No fix known here. I meant that I wish someone had found a fix above.

I spent the last 2 days adding tags and injecting a banshee into Hang em high, only to find out that Sparkedit wouldn't open it because it said it was out of memory. I'm batting about "100" right now with Xbox modding.

About all I can successfully do right about now is texturing. Freakin lame.
