In Sapien my map is always all white...?

Finish a new model/mesh? Got something you're working on? Finish a new map? Here's the place to post it for feedback and whatnot.

In Sapien my map is always all white...?

Post by Conner5 »

I fallowed the kirk tutorials and everything went great so i started my own map from scratch. Everything is going good but when i get to step 8 and do the radiosity part (so you can see the level terrain) it renders all white... not with my ground bitmap. Anyone know a solution?

ok for one did you use your own bitmap? If so you need to compile it. The only other thing i can think of is that you messed up somewhere back in 3d max like you named the bitmap wrong it the material editor or something.

ya, i did:

"tool bitmaps levels\MAPNAME\bitmaps"

and it did the alpha whatever thing, so i edited that in gurilla and did it again (like in the movies).

It didnt work AGAIN, so at this point im stuck...

O, and i forgot to mention, every time I start radiosity the "countdown numbers" start at zero and just stay there. I though maybe it was loading so i stayed there for like 10 minutes and they just stayed at zero, thats when i did the radiosity_save command and it renders all white.
