Hi all

I know you are sick of daft questions bt trust me ive lookied in all topics and cant find the answer to this one.

Right in sapein i can open up the orignal tutorial secnario and view is perfectly. But when i create a map i cant view anything but white and orange in place of my map the hils and everyting is there and yes ive tried radiosity till its coming out of my ears. I was willing to accept it mite be my graphics card but then why would i be able to veiw the tutorial one and not mine. Ive scearched thousdands of forums looking for and answer but no one can. Is it my G card or am i not doing something right. When i open the things in gurriliar (mind the spelling) i have also opened up the tutorial and matched everything in that one to m,ine but still have no success. I need to sort this map thing out as i have a que of ppl and clans waiting for me to finish the training map im doing(hopefully you will host it for me too halomods?????). But without being able to see my ground its a bit hard to populate the map as im sure you will all agree. Some one please help me out as i want to get this done!!

All ideas to make it work will be welcome and if anyone else has the same problem let me know.

If it is my card i will get a new one but if i dont have to i wont.

there's different topics like this around....and the only reason say that is b/c idk the answer....if u find a topic about textures not showin up, read that...ill look for a link

EDIT: havent found anything...but...check to make sure ur directories are set up right and all ur images are .tiff's

this error is (or similar) can be caused by a Shader_eviroment not haveing any bitmaps applyed to it
just 3 situations with possible solutions.
1 did you do the "select shader 1-9" in the tool.exe while building your map if so you should see a shader in your tags root (tags\ )directory then open that shader and make all the bitmaps
2 did you make a new shader and forget to add the bitmaps, open all shaders used in your model and check to make sure they have bitmaps
3 do you even have shaders applyed to your geometry it's like impossible to do this on purpose let alone by accident but you never know...

right guys i started from scracth again and now i have the colours of my map and i can see some detail, but its all out of sync like the bitmaps is too small (like when u tile things on your desktop but outta shape coz of hills and stuff) is this an easyer thing to solve??? Also if i want to make a bigger map how big must my bitmap be in relation to my 3dmx model?

your bitmap can be any size like i made blockfort ground texture 8x8 just make sure you map it corretly.
