give the compiler some time, it doesnt go instant.

Is it possible to make a jackle clever enough to use his shield as a bat, to knock oncoming grenades away?

Actually it is possible, if AI code has if's and then's, you could code it to make the jackal move forward into the grenade, that would basicly bounce it back.

lol - u dont have the time mac...thats a good one

I guess it wud b possible to do it in like an MP map, or w/ a player controled biped. U cud model something like a bat, and have it melee like the Plasma rifle, and then give it the collision of the jakal shield, or hog winshield.

Well, even if you did work that hard at it, and made it so that the shield would fly out, impact the grenade and knock it away, giving the Jackal coding to do that would be ridiculously complicated, at least i think...
